LR TEMPTING BEAST

LR Tempting Beast, a $15,000 purchase at last year’s Heritage Place Yearling Sale, paid his connections a solid dividend with his victory in the
$55,335 Mile High Futurity at Arapahoe Park on Aug. 26.
LR Tempting Beast covered 400 yards in :20.109, and his winning margin was a clear 1 1/2-lengths from Tres Crest. Pedro Gonzalez rode the gray colt for owner/trainer Jaime Martinez.
The second-fastest qualifier, LR Tempting Beast made his local debut with a second-place finish, a neck behind fastest qualifier Ramacin Ranger, in the first of three Mile High Futurity trials on Aug. 16.
Raced in two states, including Oklahoma, LR Tempting Beast has won two of four starts and has banked $30,343.
The colt was bred by Levings Racing LLC, and
is out of stakes winner Racing Streak. The mare
has produced 100% winners from five starters.
LR Tempting Beast’s second dam, the graded stakes winner Racing Winner, produced Zoomin Racer, a half-brother to Racing Streak and the sport’s Champion Distance horse in 2017.
Tres Crest (Tres Seis-Cassandra Crest) earned $11,067 for owner Edy Arturo Ontiveros-Palacios. Manuel Meza rode the sorrel gelding for trainer Hugo Ontiveros.
KB Apollitical Trump (Apollitical Blood-Holland Dynasty) finished third. Jose Meza rode the gelding for owner Alma Olivas and trainer Uriel Delgado.
Trulie Satisfeyen (Capo De Capi-Satisfeyen) ran fourth and was followed by Capos Cowgirl (Capo De Capi-Hooray Cowgirl), Apollitical Splash (Apollitical Blood-La Burrita Splash), Molly Ninety Nine (One Handsome Man-Glow N Go Tell), Ramacin Ranger (EC Jet One-Hot As Diamonds) and Cashsurfer (Corona Surfer-JN Coronancash). Im Jess Good scratched.
Mile High Derby
ONE FLYING DYNASTY

One Flying Dynasty led at every call en route to a 2 1/4-length victory in the 400-yard Mile High Derby at Arapahoe Park on Aug. 26.
Prepped by Manuel Chavez for owner David Leonardo Valles Cortes, One Flying Dynasty tripped the electronic timer in :19.752 under Daniel Valles. The sorrel gelding earned a 98 speed index and the $21,318 winner’s share of the $53,295 purse.
One Flying Dynasty made his Arapahoe Park debut with a wire-to-wire 1/2-length victory in the first of two Mile High Derby trials on Aug. 16 for the second qualifying time. All told, the gelding has won 4 of 9 outs, including last year’s 400-yard $245,946 La Fiesta Futurity at Albuquerque Downs as the fastest qualifier, and he has banked a total of $154,106.
One Flying Dynasty was bred in Arizona by Allred Bros. Ranch LLC, and he sold for $20,000 at the 2018 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale. His dam, the winning homebred mare One Flying Cookie, ran third in the 2006 Yavapai Downs Futurity-G3. She has also produced 2012 Rainbow Futurity-G1 win- ner Carters Cookie.
Favorite Rock (Favorite Cartel-Firerock) ran second and earned $10,659 for owner Hugo Barron- Sierra. Alejandro Luna rode the sorrel gelding for trainer Jose Manuel Barron.
Fastest qualifier Southernstylemission (Five Bar Cartel-Southern Formed) was third under Jhaciel Soto, who rode the gelding for owner Heliasar Cardenas and trainer Julio Corral.
Intocable Cartel (Coronado Cartel-Tahiti Wave), Talk Of The Barn (Prospect To The Top- Tripled Effort), Icuthrivin (Big Daddy Cartel-Jess
A Streakin Mate), Jess Charger (Mr Jess Perry-BP Jess Cartel), EC Steele (Hes Relentless-AMG Six Point Three), and Interesting Bar (Seperate Interest- Baccarat Bar) completed the order of finish. A Lota Class Action scratched.

VIVA LE DON

Viva Le Don had a summer worth celebrating at Retama Park. The four-year-old geld-
ing rattled off his third consecutive stakes win at Retama Park, taking the $61,149 Bank of America Retama Challenge Championship on Aug. 29. The win earned him a berth in the Bank of America Championship Challenge-G1 at The Downs at Albuquerque on Oct. 24.
Ridden by Luis Vivanco, Viva Le Don raced at the back of the pack in the early stages of the 440- yard dash. With an impressive turn of foot, Viva Le Don mowed down his rivals, getting up in time to finish a head in front. Trained by Tammy Johnson, Viva Le Don stopped the timer in :22.102, earning a speed index of 98.
The win improved his overall record to 20-6(4)- 3(1)-6(2), and the $29,352 winner’s share of the purse increased his bankroll to $330,289 for owner Rockin J Running Horses. Prior to his newest stakes tally, Viva Le Don had won the TQHA 550 Stakes-RG3 in his previous start and the Tower Of The Americas Stakes before that on July 4.
Jack Manning and Tammy Johnson bred Viva Le Don out of winner Viva Arriba. She has produced 100% winners from three starters.
Runner-up Jordan Eagle (One Famous Eagle-PYC Prize Doll) was denied a second straight stakes win
and just missed under Victor Urieta Jr. The graded stakes-winning 4-year-old colt is campaigned by Javier Rosique and Alonso Neri is the conditioner. Serendipity Rocks (Rock Solid Jess-Precious Serendipity) and jockey Francisco Ramirez Jr. finished third for owner Sarah Huskey and trainer Esteban Rubio.
Krash Course (Krash Cartel-Rare Eye Opener), Kas Tempting (Tempting Dash-Beaukas), Jess Paint Me Quick (PYC Paint Your Wagon-My Girl Jessie), Roseinante (Dominyun-Halifaxal), and Five Bar Stoli (Five Bar Cartel-Stoli Angel) followed.
