Video Will Rogers Downs Distaff Challenge-G3 on Oct. 2.
Trained by AQHA Champion Trainer Jason Olmstead, Lynnder 16 broke on top from the 4-post and never looked back. She led by a neck at the first call and going into the stretch, then drew clear to
hit the wire first by 1-length. Edwin Escobedo was aboard as she finished the 400 yards in :19.762, good for a 97 speed index. The $17,765 winner’s share of the purse improved her total earnings to $820,979.
Lynnder 16 improved her season to 3-1-1 in five starts and notched her 18th win in 35 total outs. The mare now holds 10 stakes victories, including last year’s running of this event and the 2020 running
of the AQHA Distaff Challenge Championship-G1, which she finished in fourth last year, and will have another chance to return to the winner’s circle in this year’s version as part of the Bank of America Challenge Championships card on Oct. 22.
Tom Maher and Richard Tobin own Lynnder 16, purchasing the mare for $31,000 in the 2017 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale. James and Marilyn Helzer bred Lynnder 16 out of Tinys Corona Queen, a lightly-raced 2005 mare. She has produced 14 winners from 16 starters with earnings of $1,676,835.
Dox Notta Fox (Wagon Tales-Dox Strawflyin Annie) finished 2-lengths clear in second for owner Ismael Quijada and trainer Cosme Quijada. Roman Cruz was in the irons.
Maher also owns third-place finisher Apollitical Mogul (Apollitical Jess-Cash Cartel), another Olmstead trainee who had Cody Smith aboard.
Sophia Maria (Apollitical Jess-Fantastic Follies), Cute Lil Candy Girl (Jess Good Candy-Cute Ivory Girl), and CJ Classy Sassy Chic (Desirio-Historics Corona) rounded out the order of finish. Apolitical J Julia scratched.

of 10 distaffers, Brenda Reiswig’s One Kool Dreamer won the $24,990 Miss Ellen Stakes at Will Rogers Dows on Oct. 16.
Trainer Jason Olmstead gave Edwin Escobedo the riding assignment, and they led at every call after breaking 2nd from the 5-gate. One Kool Dreamer covered 350 yards in :17.832 for 91 speed index and her margin of victory was a neck from Sassalitical. The $15,030 winner’s share increased her earnings to $182,412 from her third career stakes win.
Raced in four states, One Kool Dreamer has won eight of 28 outs, including last year’s $119,730 Altoona Derby. This year she has placed second in the Keokuk Stakes-G3, the Prairie Sprint Stakes and third in the Easy Date Stakes-G3.
One Kool Dreamer is a homebred from Oklahoma. The filly is out of One Kool Wagon, a winning mare. Her second dam, First Kool Baby, won two graded stakes including the 2004 Manor Downs Derby-G2 and has produced 100% winners from four starters with earnings of $370,713.

for her owners Tyler Graham and Adame Racing LLC and trainer Clint Crawford. Bobby Simmons’ Elphaba (Kiss My Hocks-Witchs Streak) ran third, a 1/2-length behind One Kool Dreamer. Clint Crawford also trains Elphaba and had jockey Jorge Torres in the irons. Followed by Kool And Fabulous (One Fabulous Eagle-One Kool Wagon), TLC Apache Heart (The Louisiana Cartel-Apache Heart), in a deadheat for 6th were Hun E Do (Racy Casanova-First Place Fish) & Ms Lori Darlin (Hes Relentless-Grace Gone Wild), then Curls Ivory Princess (Ivory James- Eye A Spit Curl Girl), Apollitical J Julia (Apollitical Jess-Julias Perfection), and Corona Relentless (Hes Relentless-Coronas Concierge).

ultiple stakes winner Queen For Cash ApHC
made it back-to-back stakes victories with
a game score in the Green Country Paint and Appaloosa Handicap at Will Rogers Downs on Oct. 16. The win followed Queen For Cash’s romping 9-length score in the Sequoyah Stakes at Will Rogers Downs in September.
Ridden in the Green Country Handicap by Roman Cruz, Queen For Cash broke in at the start but received the first call. The filly maintained a clear advantage throughout and kept to task late to win wire-to-wire by 3/4-lengths at the finish. Queen for Cash stopped the timer in :17.624 and earned a speed index of 97 for trainer Jesus Ruiz.
The win improved the 4-year-old filly’s overall record to 18-7-2-3 and the $10,080 winner’s share of the purse increased her bankroll to $113,057.
A homebred for Gary Vaughan, Queen For Cash is out of the winning mare Ivory Queen who earned $47,398 in her racing career.
Runner-up JS Runnin Wire APHA (CRM Livewire-Iwillewantarunner QH), also a multiple stakes winner, bobbled at the start but recovered and chased the winner throughout, finishing 1 3/4-lengths ahead of the third-place finisher. JS Runnin Wire is a homebred for Shirley Wheeler and is trained by Dee Keener. Gonzalo Gutierrez was in the irons. Mammy Jammer APHA (CRM Livewire-Dashin DD), with jockey Cody Wainscott aboard, finished third in a steady effort for owner Roy Kent Perkins and trainer Ray Enlow, who also bred the filly in Oklahoma. She won last year’s version of this race. Southern Electric APHA (CRM Livewire-ZE Southern Girl QH), the race favorite, placed fourth and was followed by Wired Four Forty APHA (CRM Livewire-Bentley James QH), completing the order of finish. WF High Gear APHA was scratched.
