WRS APOLLITICALIVORY

WRS Apolliticalivory flew over a sloppy track with German Rodriquez aboard to win the $107,455 Indiana Championship Stakes in New Track Record time at Indiana Grand on Oct. 30.
Trained by Randy Smith and racing for Williams Racing Stables Inc., the four-year-old homebred gelding is by leading third year sire Apollitical Blood and out
of Sassy Follies. He covered the 440 yards in :21.744 collecting $59,697 and a speed index of 106, besting previous record set by Tres My Heart in 2018.
WRS Apolliticalivory was bumped at the
start and broke in second from the three-hole. Undeterred, WRS Apolliticalivory gained ground and led at every subsequent call to cross the wire a neck to the good. His earnings now top $280,684 with 10 wins, 2 seconds and 2 thirds in 15 starts, including two additional stakes wins in the Indiana Grand QHRAI Derby and QHRAI Derby last year.
Another homebred for Williams Racing Stables Inc., second placed WRS Valentino (Mighty B Valiant- WRS Kissandteller) had Juan Marquez aboard. The 5-year-old gelding, who is also trained by Randy Smith, has an impressive race record, with wins or seconds in all of his 17 starts with earnings of $359,728.
Both geldings stem from the female family of the 1991 mare Hava Zevi by Zevi TB and out of Billie White Shoe. Hava Zevi has had a tremendous influence on Williams Racing Stables, with her daughters and grand- daughters building the foundation of winners them.

Followed byCountry Boy 123 (Country Chicks Man-Very Dashin 123), Beach Benny (Escondido Beach-Streaking Stitches), El Aviador (Jazz Be First-Southern Honeymoon), Ten Sent (Country Chicks Man-Pink Cartel), El Huracan Ethics (Ethics Aside- Dashing For Sophia), Vegas Corona (Corona Cartel - Jess Like Vegas). Jess A Flyin Beach was scratched.
Sterlie Bertram Memorial

Fastest qualifier from the Oct. 9 trials, Stone Lake proved best in the $119,400 Sterlie Bertram Memorial finals at Indiana Grand Race Course on
Oct. 30, winning by 1 1/2-lengths.
The 3-year-old gelding led at every call leaving
from gate 8 on a sloppy track. With Luz Martinez in the irons, they completed the 400-yards in :19.602 earning a 103 speed index and $65,670 for the win.
The $15,000 purchase from the 2019 QHRAI Speed Sale was bred by Sheri Miller and trained by Anthony Cunningham for owner Patricia Marshall. Racing exclusively at Indiana Grand Race Course, Stone Lake is now a multiple stakes winner with lifetime earnings of $270,099 including a win in the $186,000 Gordon Mobley Futurity last year.
Rock Candy Almighty, a 3-year-old gelding by PYC Paint Your Wagon and out of Jesses Candy, was an easy second from post six. Placing second in his trial, Rock Candy Almighty secured the ninth fastest time to enter the finals. He is a homebred for Tammy and Lance Finlinson and trained by Randy Smith. Jose Beltran got the call to ride.
Finishing third, a length behind Rock Candy Almighty, Inseperable Blood held evenly with James Flores in the irons from post position four. He is sired by leading third year sire Apollitical Blood and is out of Miss Inseprable, a full sister to Champion Inseperable. Inseperable Blood is a 3-year-old gelding bred and owned by Duke Racing LLC and trained by Randy Smith.

Ontario Sires Stakes Derby
ALL OUTTA SUGAR

All Outta Sugar, a homebred son of the Mr Jess Perry stallion Sugarman Perry campaigned by Marie Broadstock, scored the victory in the Oct. 27 Ontario Sires’ Derby at Ajax Downs.
Ramiro Castillo rode the bay gelding for trainer Don Reid. Racing against a reported 17-mph head wind on a track officially labeled “good,” All Outta Sugar went 350 yards in :18.203, and his winning margin was a 1/2-length over Bogie Wheels.
All Outta Sugar banked the $16,969 winner’s share of a $42,420 purse. The gelding prepped for the Ontario Sires’ Derby with a second-place finish in a 300-yard $12,193 first-level allowance dash
for Ontario-sired runners on Oct. 13. All Outta Sugar is out of All Wacked Out, a daughter of 2000 Champion 2-Year-Old Eyesa Special who won three stakes at Ajax Downs from 2010-13.
Raced exclusively at Ajax Downs, All Outta Sugar has won two of nine starts and has earned $34,515, of which $31,235 has been banked from seven outs this season. He was a finalist in the 2020 Ontario Sires Stakes Futurity.
Bogie Wheels (El Night Shift-Cash Into Vegas) earned the $8,485 runner-up share of the purse for his owner, James Bogar. Tony Phillips rode the multiple stakes placed black gelding for trainer Barry Wood.
Hanover Hill Theresa (Sugarman Perry-Ethoria), the 6-5 favorite in the full field of 10, ran third. Cory Spataro rode the homebred bay filly for owner Picov Cattle Company and trainer Joe Tavares.
Senor Pagrana (Winners Award-Lady Pagrana), Summers Grace (Look At Magics Form-Winning Situation), Jess Raven (Mr Jess Tex-Leanintoit), Hanover Hill Lynda (Make Out Artist- Everythingperrysweet), Whos Hot Now (Sugarman Perry-Zoomin Hot), Azures Royalty (Azure Down There-Royal Gate), and Caraways Candy Lane (Sycamore Lane-Chicks Famous Candy) followed.
