BEE A FREIGHT TRAIN
Bby John Moorehouse
ee A Freight Train generated some buzz on Aug.
28, winning the 350-yard $46,281 John Deere Emerald Downs Juvenile Challenge.
Owned by Alberto Avila, the two-year-old colt notched his 4th win in 7 starts this season, and
also qualified for the lucrative John Deere Juvenile Challenge Championships-G3, a race with an estimated $125,000 purse scheduled as part of Bank of America Challenge Championship night on Oct. 22 at Horseshoe Indianapolis.
Bee A Freight Train earned his 4th consecutive victory coming out of the 5-gate on top and leading at every call. In fact, he left little doubt, opening a 1-length advantage by the first call and widening the gap to 2 1/2-lengths in the stretch. He coasted to the wire sporting a 1 3/4-length margin, finishing the race in :17.930 and posting a 97 speed index.
The post-time favorite at 4-5 odds, Bee A Freight Train banked a $21,505 payday, nearly tripling his prior earnings to a new total of $34,775. Edwin Rosales trains the colt, who had Guillermo Suarez up.
Darian Burt bred Bee A Freight Train and owns his dam, N Bee C, a 2013 mare who posted one win in seven outs and competed in the 2016 running of the Sam Houston Distaff Challenge.
Rebalicious (Big Drama TB-Tickle Ur Fancy), the biggest longshot at odds of nearly 42-1, was 2nd for owner Hayden Brothers Ranch. Hector Magallanes trains the filly, who had Javier Matias up. Also trained by Magallanes, Check The Cartel (Favorite Cartel- Check Her For Cash) was 3rd under Mark Jasso for owner Donald Conway. Followed by The Weekend (Lota PYC-Separate Rooms), Dash To The Flash T (Five Bar Cartel-Dash Home Deb), Good Candy Cash (Jess Good Candy-Check Her For Cash), CCR Pengra Road (Foose-Wrap You Up), Piece Of Calico (Five Bar Cartel-Glitteratti), and Corona Wagon Train (BP Wagon Train-LSG Deal Me A Lady).

THE REV ROCKER
Aby Tracy Gantz
son of A Revenant qualified the fastest for the
Sept. 24 John Deere Idaho Juvenile Challenge, and a son of A Revenant won the final—but not the same horse. Normandy was the fastest qualifier, while The Rev Rocker took the final.
Favored at 11-10 and ridden by Jesus Valenzuela, The Rev Rocker broke in third and rocketed to
the lead. Several joined him for a very close finish between seven of the 10 runners. The Rev Rocker won by a nose in :17.567 for 350 yards.
Riley Moorsman trains The Rev Rocker for owner Patricia Knudson. Lazy A Farm consigned The Rev Rocker as agent for Laney Enterprises to the 2021 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, where Gordon Knudson bought him for $44,000.
Debra Laney bred The Rev Rocker in New Mexico from her homebred graded stakes-winner Mitey Moon. The mare has produced 4 winners from 5 starters, including graded stakes winner Mitey Political and stakes-placed Surfz Up and Mitey Keymeera.
Robert Harrison’s homebred RLH Fouronthefloor (Jess Got Easier-SP Saint Patty) finished second for jockey Jesus Virgen and trainer Heath Hillman. The gelding also finished second in the Aug. 14 Oneida County Futurity.
Cody Wainscott rode One Famous Rock (One Famous Eagle-First Prize Joy) to third for trainer Mark Hanson and owners RTM Stables, Robin and Kevin Dunn, and Bryon Goody. The gelding ran second in the May 22 Crush The Curve Futurity.

EASY EARL
Tby Michael Compton
o say the Idaho Cup Futurity at Pocatello
Downs on Sept. 11 ran true to form would be an understatement. The three fastest qualifiers from the Aug. 28 trial heats returned in the final and ran one- two-three in the same order they qualified in - led by winner and fastest qualifier Easy Earl.
With Jesus Canales in the irons, Easy Earl raced in fifth position early. He hit his best stride in the lane and mowed down the frontrunners to score by a neck at the finish. Sent off as the race favorite, Easy Earl stopped the timer in :17.623 for a speed index of 97.
A homebred for Larry Chapple, Easy Earl is trained by Mark Hanson. The $16,661 winner’s share of the purse increased the brown gelding’s bankroll to $20,880. Now a winner in three of six starts, Easy Earl qualified for the Bitterroot Futurity at Pocatello Downs in July where he was unplaced after winning his trial dash for that race by 2-lengths.
Kiss A Lou Blue (Jess Louisiana Blue-Kiss A Kardashian) was 2nd under jockey Oscar Villa. The 2nd-fastest qualifier closed ground late to secure the place spot for owner-breeder Five Livestock Company & trainer Ramiro Fregoso. The filly won the Roche Equine Veterinary Services Futurity at Jerome in June, and she also contested the Onieda County Futurity in August, finishing 5th as the race favorite. AB What A Madonna (Tres Seis-AB What A Runner) and jockey Cody Wainscott got up for 3rd in the colors of owner Bryon Goody & trainer Mark Hanson. She is bred to be a runner being out of 2002 All American Futurity-G1 winner AB What ARunner. Followed by Reign Of Corona (KVN Corona-Going Corona), Streakin Wes (Panama Wes-Streakin Zestfully), First Corona Magic (Mountain Magic-DDs Corona Prospect), Nitro Got Me Zoomin (Zoomin Royal-Gone Babie Gone), Js Whos That Lady (Woodbridge-Judging Julie), Zoomin To Close (Zoomin for Bux-Quick To Close), and Shezabear (Heza Fast Rogue-Subicbear).
