WASCALLYWITTLEWABBIT

Rogers Farms’ Wascallywittlewabbit extended his win streak to four races with a 3 1/4-length vic- tory in the Aug. 28 Zia 870 Championship for New
Mexico-breds at Ruidoso Downs.
Ridden by Benito Baca for trainer Mike Joiner
and sent to post as the 3-10 favorite in a field of five, Wascallywittlewabbit covered 870 yards wire-to-wire in :44.736. The 6-year-old son of the Heza Fast Man stallion Heza Motor Scooter recorded a 106 speed index while posting his fifth lifetime stakes win.
Wascallywittlewabbit was coming off of a wire-to- wire 3-length win in an 870-yard $30,000 open-con- dition allowance race at Ruidoso Downs on Aug. 1.
Wascallywittlewabbit’s win streak includes
a 1/2-length victory in the $50,000 Pauls Valley Stakes-G2, and a 1 1/4-length win in the $64,000 Remington Park Distance Championship-G1. All told, the gelding has won 10 of 20 races and the $30,000 winner’s share of the Zia 870 Championship purse boosted his bankroll to $219,015.
The gelding was bred by Mike Weatherly, and he is out of Rabbits N Diamonds, an unraced daugh-
ter of the Yawls Rabbit stallion Rabbits Rainbow. Wascallywittlewabbit’s second dam, the Coup De Kas TB mare Shines Likea Diamond, won the 1998 KHEY/Y96 Handicap at Sunland Park and was a finalist in the 1999 West Texas-G3 and Sunland Park Winter-G3 derbies.
Runner-up Moonflash Cat (First Moonflash- Domeinitchy) earned $10,500 for his owner, Mario A. Ortega. Hector Aldrete rode the 5-year-old brown gelding for trainer Sherry Armstrong. Why Buy The Cow (Heza Motor Scooter-Southwest Treasure) ran third for owner Carroll A. Durbin. Cerapio Figueroa rode the gelding for trainer Clint Crawford.
Bigg Jack (Big Daddy Cartel-Jessiana) and Laugharoo (Laugh Track-She’s A Vision) completed the order of finish.

Lynnder 16, a five-year-old daughter of World Champion Apollitical Jess campaigned by Tom Maher and Richard L. Tobin, led at every
call en route to a 1-length victory in the 400-yard Q-Racing Video Ruidoso Distaff Challenge at Ruidoso Downs on Aug. 28.
Ridden by Edwin Escobedo, Lynnder 16 broke on top from the three-gate and had 1-length mar- gin by the first call. She maintained that distance through to the wire and she stopped the timer in :19.755 while posting a 93 speed index and land- ing a starting berth in the $100,000 Q-Racing Video Distaff Challenge Championship-G1 at Albuquerque Downs. Jason Olmstead prepped the sorrel mare.
Lynnder 16 was bred in Oklahoma by Jim and Marilyn Helzer, and she was a $31,000 purchase at the 2017 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale. The mare is out of Tinys Corona Queen, a winning daughter of Corona Cartel, and she is a full sister to three stakes winners, including Grade 2 winner Rattle N Battle.
Raced in six states, including Oklahoma, Lynnder 16 has won 14 of 27 outs -- including seven of 12 at the 400-yard distance -- and the $14,936 winner’s share of the purse from her seventh career stakes score increased her earnings to $733,825.
The mare’s resume includes a half-length win in last year’s $101,675 AQHA Distaff Challenge Championship-G1. She won the Remington Park Oklahoma Bred Futurity-G2, the Paragon Oaks, The Canterbury Park Distaff Challenge (twice), and the Ruidoso Downs Distaff Challenge. She was also third in the Remington Park Oklahoma Bred Derby-G3 and in the Ruidoso Juvenile Stakes. And, she was a finalist in the 2018 All American Futurity-G1.
Dark Moon (First Moonflash-Special Dark Ivory) ran second for owner Cavenaugh Quarter Horses LLC. Jorge Torres rode the mare for trainer Clint Crawford.
Sinsational Tacha (Tempting Dash-Miss Sin Tacha) finished third under Hector Aldrete for owner Alejandro Arzabala Jr. and trainer Martin Orona Sr.
Great Hocks (Kiss My Hocks-Great Grace), Cartels Blessing (The Louisiana Cartel-Runaway Blessing), Elegant Tres (Tres Seis-Elegant Debut), and Apollitical B Birdie (Apollitical Blood-BP Down South) completed the order of finish.
First Moonflash Maturity-RG2
JESS A SATIN FLASH

Jess A Satin Flash sprinted to a 3/4-length victory in the $75,000 First Moonflash Maturity-RG2 for aged New Mexico-breds at Albuquerque Downs on Sept. 5.
Prepped by Rene Saucedo for owner Bertha S. Irigoyen, Jess A Satin Flash covered 440 yards in :21.362 while posting a 96 speed index. Alejandro Medellin rode the sorrel 8-year-old son of 2009 Champion Aged Stallion First Moonflash.
Raced exclusively in New Mexico, Jess A Satin Flash has won 11 of 44 outs, and he’s won three stakes races, including last year’s First Moonflash Maturity and Zia Handicap-RG2. His earnings total $296,052.
Jess A Satin Flash was bred by Mike Abraham, and he was stretching out in distance off of a ninth- place finish in the 400-yard Zia Stakes-RG2 at Ruidoso Downs on July 31.
The gelding is out of Jess Satin, a winning and graded stakes placed daughter of Champion Mr
Jess Perry. His second dam, Send Me First, won the 1996 Arizona QRA Turf Paradise Futurity-G3. Jess A Satin Flash traces back to his third dam, Send Me Satin, who ran third in the 1990 QHBC Freshman Classic-G3.
A Flashin Blu (First Moonflash-Blazin Blu) banked the $15,000 runner-up share of the purse for his owner Felipe Flores Sr. An $8,000 yearling pur- chase at the 2018 New Mexico-Bred Sale at Ruidoso Downs, the brown 4-year-old filly was ridden by Jacob Enriquez for trainer Ivan Tafoya. Mario Dominguez’s Outta Debt (First Moonflash-Jesstifiable Debt) fin- ished third under Paul Nieto for trainer Carlos Acosta Jr. Followed by Freedom Flash (First Moonflash-Mi Camila), Effortless Candy Cat (TF Featured Effort- Rime Has A Chick), and J R Bordeaux (Jesse James Jr-Bridgette Bordeaux). Cartel Drunk Playboy & Marcus Medallion were scratched.
