Good Christians, Rejoice!
The picture of
the leaf is
something that
once lived and
now is dying,
but we know
new growth
will continue
as long as the
tree remains
alive (kind of like the vine on Day 3).
Jesus assures us in this story of
Lazarus that those who believe will
never die. The group that found this
image also later saw the fake trees in
our welcoming space and remarked

how that represents never dying.

Many of us put up a Christmas Tree,
and whether fake or real, the
evergreen tree remains green and
reminds us of life in every season of
the year. Jesus promises that he will
always be with us in Matthew 28:20
right before his ascension and even
though he is not physically here, we
can feel his presence. Even after
you’ve taken down your tree and put
it away, the memories are still
present, and a tree will come back
next Christmas.
