“The prophet Isaiah foretells of how the
Messiah will heal people and restore the
earth. This healing story from John not
only shows how Jesus heals people from
physical ailments, but also corrects some
misunderstanding that sin is not the reason
for this man’s blindness. We are also told
that Jesus is the Light of the World in this
passage, and we are grateful that the
Light has entered our world.
