Since its beginnings in 1978, Friendship Home has served and advocated for women and
children who are survivors of domestic violence through crisis services, emergency shelters
and transitional housing.
WHY THIS GIFT MATTERS!
In 2022, 1,554 people, including over 900 children, received services at Friendship Home.
This year, at the end of September 2023, 1,402 survivors had been assisted.
Friendship Home provides crisis services and advocacy to survivors staying at Friendship
Home, as well as in advance, through its Pre-Shelter Program.
98% of those placed in Rapid Re-Housing were able to sustain permanent housing after
leaving the program.
Friendship Home maintains 53 housing facilities (2 communal shelter, 12 single-family
shelter apartments, 17 transitional apartments, 22 Rapid Rehousing apartments) and a
Service Center.
