กล่าวคือ
1. S/he is .…สิ่งที่ตามมาคือค าคุณศัพท์ เช่น He is talkative.

2. S/he is a/an …สิ่งที่ตามมาคือค าคุณศัพท์ต่อด้วยค านาม เช่น He is a

talkative boy.

Cultural Concerns
ในการพูดบรรยายคุณลักษณะบุคคล หากใครสักคนสติปัญญาไม่ดีนักในสายตา

ของเรา เราไม่นิยมพูดว่าหล่อน/เขาเป็นคนโง่ เช่น S/he is stupid. ซึ่งฟังดูรุนแรงและไม่สุภาพที่จะ

พูดเช่นนั้น เราอาจจะเลี่ยงโดยพูดว่า S/he is not very smart. (หล่อน/เขาไม่ค่อยจะฉลาดนัก) หรือ

S/he is not a quick learner. (หล่อน/เขาไม่ใช่ผู้ที่เรียนรู้อะไรๆได้เร็วนัก)
