including with respect to the people with whom you have a
close relationship, such as family?"
The most important matching questions on individualistic value
and motivator:
• "What role does feeling in control of a situation play in your job
satisfaction? How important is it for you to be able to take
control of your own destiny?"
• "How important is independence to you? How important are
power and influence to you? How satisfied would you be with
a job if none of these factors were present?"
• "How well can you handle instructions you receive from
others? To what extent can you accept such instructions?"
• "How do you proceed when you want to motivate others to
act? Please give a concrete example of a situation from your
professional life in which you were able to motivate a group of
people to act. Describe how you accomplished this."
The most important matching questions on theoretical value and
moti- vator:
• "Which is more important to you: active action or expertise?"
• "Would you describe yourself as an expert in a field? What
area is that? How did you go about acquiring the relevant
knowledge?"
• "What do you particularly enjoy learning? What areas or topics
do you particularly enjoy learning about?"
