GROWMARK ALPHA EXPANSION II

The Growmark Alpha Expansion II project, built for GROWMARK, Inc., included the new
construction of a 30,000 square foot distribution center located in Alpha, IL. The center houses an
18,000 square foot bulk storage building for crop protection products and chemical storage tanks,
a 3,500 square foot flammable storage room, a 5,000 square foot drive-through building for semi-
trucks to load and unload products, and a 1,500 square foot N-Serve chemical storage and drive-
through building. The distribution center was constructed of pre-engineered metal buildings
on concrete foundations with footing reinforcement and masonry walls, exteriors of metal wall
panels, and ethylene propylene diene monomer membrane roofs. The project also featured a new
storage room for flammable chemicals, expansion of a gravel parking lot, additional dolly pads for
semi-trailer storage, and a new entrance drive. The Growmark Alpha Expansion II now enhances
the distribution center’s ability to serve cooperative member companies and customers.
