5. Describe your firm’s plan for
Station 1, 111 N. Church Avenue, 85701 executing construction work and
which construction trades will be
performed using subcontractors
and/or in-house workforce.
All of the work performed on this project
will be completed by subcontractors.
Our philosophy is one of recognizing the
expertise of specialty trade contractors.
By thoroughly pre-qualifying local
subcontractors, CORE is able to
provide the City with the knowledge
and experience of firms dedicated
to individual trades and keep much
of the revenue generated within the
community. CORE is able to benefit
from a very large pool of resources and
support the quality and production of
the project utilizing skilled firms that
self-perform in their specialized fields.

6. Explain how you will identify
any long-lead items and how those
items will be procured and delivered
in accordance with the project
installation schedule requirements.
Based on previous projects, we have
identified bar joists, apparatus bay doors,
and electrical equipment, specifically the
backup generator, as long-lead items. We
will work with the design team to have
details for these items 100% complete
by GMP so that we can begin procuring
the material as soon as our construction
contract is processed. The other items
that can affect schedule is coordination
with public utilities. We will work with
Tucson Water, Tucson Electric Power
(TEP), and Southwest Gas during
design to ensure the 100% construction
documents include everything they need
on the project.
