3. RULES AT WORK
3.1 General Rules
Every client’s site will have their own rules relating to the use of their premises which should be followed at all times. Similarly, each location (place of work) may have specific rules and working arrangements which should be read and complied with in conjunction with the terms and conditions of employment contained within this booklet and in your contract of employment.
3.2 Company Property
It is not permitted to remove any client or company property, goods, materials or equipment of any kind, from your place of work without the prior written permission of your line manager or Team Leader. Failure to follow these rules will result in the matter being treated as theft and dealt with as a disciplinary matter. The company also reserves the right to require that the value of any property taken without permission, be reimbursed to the company in full: If necessary, after reasonable notification, it will be deducted from your pay at source.
A colleague who is leaving the company must, on request, immediately return all uniforms, company bookwork, documents, passes, keys, equipment, cars etc. which were provided for the purposes of his/her employment. (Without retaining any hard or electronic copies, whatsoever.) Please also see 3.11
3.3 Smoking
In line with legislation smoking is not allowed on any Thomas Franks location. Where clients provide designated smoking areas, these may be used in line with the rules of each location. Where smoking is allowed, it must only occur during designated breaks. Unauthorised smoking which causes a breach of Health & Safety legislation will be viewed as a serious disciplinary matter~ Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the rules relating to your location during your induction period.
3.4 Alcohol & Illegal Drugs
Many of our work premises are considered to be potentially dangerous areas, so for your own safety and that of your colleagues, it is not permitted to bring alcohol or any drugs (except those issued by your GP) onto any Thomas Franks works premises.
