3. RULES AT WORK
3.10 Confidentiality / The Media
In the interests of maintaining security and confidentiality, no Thomas Franks colleague is permitted to disclose figures or other information about the Company’s, Client’s or Supplier’s business to anyone outside the Company ,which may injure or cause loss or damage to the Company or Client concerned. In the event of a request from the press (or other media) for information about the Company or situations likely to be of interest to such public bodies, the following procedure should be applied:
• Ask their name, the name of the publication and a contact telephone number for the caller.
• Advise them that you are not in a position to comment to the media and you will pass their details to a company spokesperson will contact them.
• Immediately inform your line manager, who should pass any such enquiry to a Board Director or the people and training department under no circumstances should any information should be passed on or made to any external party who so ever they may be. Failure to follow this procedure will be treated as serious misconduct.
3.11 Computer , E-mail & Internet
All our people who have access to Company or client computer systems should ensure that they abide by the Company Computer Usage & Social Media Policy which is displayed in your location or may be available from your line manager or the people & training department. Any email or internet access is for business use only. As such, all emails are considered to be company records which may be accessed, read, copied or monitored by the company at any time.
Internet email & social media must not be used to:
• Make libellous, discriminatory or inflammatory personal statements which may be construed as a statement or view of the company or client.
• Access, send or receive offensive, sexual, illegal or inappropriate material of whatever type.
