3. RULES AT WORK
• Send or receive ‘junk’ mail or circulars.
• Send or receive sensitive or confidential information, unless password
protected.
Please be aware that e-mail is open to interpretation, as a golden rule; if you would not be happy for the content of any covert communication to be read out in court, do not write it in an e-mail.
The company rules on the use of Social Media, of any type, are detailed in the Company Computer and Social Media Policy. Please be aware that the use of ‘personal’ social media during work time is prohibited on both Company and personal equipment. Where comments are made which adversely affect a fellow worker, customer, client, or indeed the Company itself including any information which is regarded as confidential, the matter will be treated very seriously.
Any breach of these rules or the named policy, will be treated as SERIOUS MISCONDUCT, but may be regarded as GROSS MISCONDUCT in cases of abuse of the policy or where illegal or sexual material, files or sites are accessed, developed, copied or downloaded; where discrimination, bullying or harassment have occurred; or where the Company or Client’s name is brought into disrepute. If any aspect of child safety is compromised with internet, social media or email usage, this matter will also be reported to the appropriate authorities.
it is not acceptable for any employee of Thomas Franks to have any social contact with school pupils or vulnerable adults with whom they may have met at a client’s premises in the normal course of their work.
