NARM Affect Core Principle: Sadness & Grief
§Many clients have tremendous fear about connecting with their grief for fear that they’ll fall into a bottomless pit of despair or that if they begin crying they’ll never be able to stop
§We want to support clients to differentiate between:
• The feeling of collapsed, stuck and depressed states, and...
• Authentic emotions that bring us back into balance and reconnect
us with our wholeness
§While reconnecting with our real feelings can be painful, it is nothing compared to the never-ending psychobiological pain of denying core parts of the self
§Seen in this way, emotions are an expression of our life force; our vitality
