YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PRACTICES

Policy 104: Youth Membership, Policy 105: Membership Application (12 &

 Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale is a membership organization in
 which all participants must be enrolled annually and additionally for special
 sessions such as sports leagues, summer program, etc. Accurate
 membership records are necessary for safety, emergency contact
 information, and pertinent information about each youth served. All forms

 ensure information is up to date for youth enrolled.

     PROCEDURAL STEPS:
Club membership is available for youth ages 5 to 19 (K5-High School).
 Membership application must be completed for youth to participate.
 Membership applications can be found at www.bgcs.org/clubconnect or in
  paper form at branches. All information must be input into the Club
 Connect/Dash system. Membership applications must be renewed annually.
The membership period is July 1-June 30th (regardless of when member is
  enrolled).
 Membership/Program fees are assessed for each member. Families may
 apply for program assistance by completing the financial assistance
 application online at www.bgcs.org/financialassistance and turning in all
  necessary paperwork via email to financialassistance@bgcs.org.

 Once the application and all paperwork are sent in, an automatic response
 will be sent to the parent/guardian acknowledging their application has been
 received. Parents/Guardians will receive approval/denial response within 10
 business days of applying by financialassistance@bgcs.org. Upon
 acceptance of assistance amount by parent/guardian, Program Services
 Coordinator/Finance will notify the Branch Director and the Club Connect
 member account will be updated accordingly. Parent/Guardian must submit
 payment no later than two (2) business days after approval or denial is given
 in order for their child to continue attending. The child will not be allowed to
 participate if payment is not received.
 Parent/Guardian may appeal the financial aid decision by documenting
  financialassistance@bgcs.org email address.
