           What's happening at Bexley

                                                           Swim Squad
This month three Bexley residents were supported to
access the swimming pool at Des Renford Aquatic
Centre. It had been a long time since some of our
keen swimming residents put foot in the ocean or a
pool. Alan, Sylvia and Samantha had been asking
about getting out and having a swim as the days had
                                                           been so hot this summer.

It was a morning full of laughs and sunshine. Alan swam 20 laps totalling 1km while Sylvia and
Samantha walked up and down the pool for about eight laps. While swimming Samantha (front
right) said that she felt like she could balance much better in the water and she’ll be back for more.
We topped it off with a coffee at a local café. It was a fantastic morning!

                                         Barber Shop Quartet

Batcho el Barbero was back again this month for some sweet cuts
and good times. As usual there were soft drinks and chips served
at the barbers and some blokes hung around just for the chat and
the company. Cecil Bowden (featured in ‘Meet the Residents’)
grabbed his guitar and entertained the waiting throng with a song.
The men in line for a haircut were quite appreciative and some
even joined in! Ronald (pictured) believes that all men are ugly
and he was very happy with his ‘super ugly cut”. They always look
forward to the barber day as it’s a great way for the Bexley men
enjoying a bit of macho banter.

                                         Garden's looking good

A big shout out to THANK YOU to everyone who's
helped get the garden ship shape, especially Bexley
                                         resident Alan.
