Board of Directors Meeting March 2017 - Key Messages
President’s Comments
It is hard to believe but the golf season is right around the corner. I would like to thank all those involved this
winter who have worked on the many projects that will elevate the Membership experience at Cherry Hill.
Membership growth continues to be focal point of the Board of Directors; your assistance is still needed on this
important endeavour. Please reach out to those in your circle who you think would come to love Cherry Hill as
you do.
After some discussion, a decision has been made to move the Season Opening Party from Saturday, May 27 to
th
Saturday, May 20 . The reasoning stems from numerous Memorial Day Weekend party conflicts; the change in
th
dates will allow Members more flexibility during this busy time of year. Member’s Opening Day is still scheduled
for Saturday, May 20 ; this will be a busy day at the Club and a great way to start the season. More details about
th
these events will be out shortly.
The share structure of Cherry Hill continues to be a topic of discussion amongst Members. We have struck a
Committee with the mandate of:
Examining the current share structure
Increase transparency for not only shareholders but all Members of Cherry Hill
Propose recommendations of building out a more inclusive share structure
This is not an easy task, one that will not completed in a short period of time but the end goal is to have more
information to share at the Club’s Annual General Meeting in the fall.
The Board of Directors are excited to share positive comments received from Members and non-Members alike
who have experienced Perry and Chef Jason’s efforts to this point. Food and Beverage quality and consistency
will be key contributors to excellence in Membership service this season.
We will be relaunching the Club’s website in the upcoming weeks. A highlight of the website is the ability of a
Member to logon to see their monthly statement. As a communication tool, the website will allow others in the
golf community a look into the Club and what we have to offer. Coinciding with the website we are preparing the
launch of Club app. We have partnered with Clubster.com, a private Club social media platform that allows
Members to communicate with each other and the Club to push notices to Members. Please expect more
information as we roll out each project.
Thank you for your continued support,
Willard M. Pottle III
