MINI INTELLIGENT VALVE PACK

Fugro Subsea Technologies Mini IVP Control system is
an electro-hydraulic valve pack system able to supply
controlled hydraulic power to any tooling. This control
system is particularly suitable for use with a Class 1-4
Torque Tool and Flying Lead Orientation Tool (FLOT). It
is able to read any measured torque and turns count
data from the Torque Tool and display the output on
either a surface laptop which can be supplied with the
system or via the FCV ROV control system.
Outlet Ports
The Control System valve pack is typically mounted to the ROV and is able
to transmit data to the surface laptop through the ROV umbilical by means
of a RS485 – Multi-drop data link. This datalink allows additional valve
packs to be connected in series without the need for an additional data link
to the surface.
A surface laptop can be supplied with proprietary user interface software
allowing easy access to control each hydraulic function and to be able to
monitor feed-back from a torque cell and the proximity switch turns count
sensor fitted to most Torque Tools.
In operation, a single proportional control valve supplies variable pressure
and flow to the Torque Tool hydraulic motor allowing variable control over
torque generated and socket rotate speeds. A series of 4 fully proportional
(pressure and flow) solenoid valves can allow control over all other High quality aluminium and stainless steel construction
functions on the Torque Tool (e.g. latches) and FLOT (e.g. pitch up/down).
