John 1:12-13

But to all who did receive HIM, who believed in HIS
NAME, HE gave the right to become children of GOD,
who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh

nor of the will of man, but of GOD.

As one reflects on these Scriptures, one will notice the

pervasive references and suggestions regarding unity,
one family, and one purpose…HIS purpose. Notice the

focus on relationship, one with another, and all with
HIM through CHRIST JESUS. Notice, that even though

humankind fell out of relationship with HIM, HE made
provision through JESUS CHRIST to reunite us with HIM.

Notice, how there is no emphasis on physical
appearance, ethnicity, or worldly cultures. While
JEHOVAH AVINU (LORD our FATHER) is the GOD of

diversity, HE is not the GOD of division. GOD is a
relational GOD - let US make man in OUR Image. Even

though we live in a fallen world and have been born
slaves to a sinful nature, placing us out of relationship

with a HOLY LORD, HE will move heaven and earth to
redeem us to HIM, to be our FATHER, to adopt us – to

unify us – into HIS FAMILY!

Therefore, we ask, which of the previous definitions of

race, sociological or biological, most closely align with
