“prophets”. Like prophets, advocates promote changes,
plans, and solutions that promise outcomes and new
things to come. Biblical Word tells us that the manner
and means with which they do this reveals the true
motives. So how does this help us recognize

            deceptions?

CHRIST gave us a series of clear instructions that exposes
those who advocate with deception. HE said “Beware of

false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but
inwardly they are ravenous wolves”. Then, HE said “You
will know them by their fruits” (Mat. 7:15-16). Their
            behaviors will reveal their motives.

HE then added a further clue to help us discern the traits
and actions of advocates who operate from deceptions
when HE said “A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor
can a bad tree bear good fruit” (Mat. 7:18). Thus, a
sincere advocate (like a true prophet) will always act in
ways that display the “fruit of their SPIRIT” (Galatians
5:22-23). Specifically, this fruit is composed of; love, joy,
            peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

            meekness, gentleness, and self-control.

CHRIST’s words tell us that all people will act according
to the fruits of the tree from which they are rooted
when HE said “A good man out of the good treasure of

his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of
the evil treasure brings forth evil things (Mat. 12:35).
Therefore, sincere advocates who operate from a “good
heart,” will exhibit traits reflecting the “Fruit of the
SPIRIT” identified above. Their motives will be open and
