The document title heading should include the following:
• Line 1: The University name (Emory University)
• Line 2: The division name (Advancement and Alumni Engagement)
• Additional lines: As necessary to give a meaningful title to the document
• Last line: If the document has an “as of” date that will be noted, this information would be contained on the last line of
the title heading
HEADER AND FOOTER
Headers and footers should be set to scale with the document and align with page margins.
Header
The Excel header function is not generally used, as it allows less flexibility in that formulas cannot be used in the heading titles.
You cannot refer to other cells, populate a header cell with a combination of text and other cell phones, use a named cell
range value, etc. in an Excel Header.
Footer: Single Page Documents
A footer is not necessary if the document is only a single page in length.
