COMPANY CARS AND NON FRONTLINE VANS (ARNOLD CLARK)

        MAINTENANCE AND BREAKDOWN CONTACT NUMBERS


        All requests for servicing, maintenance and other requirements (except tyres) should be booked via am
        email to the Arnold Clark maintenance department, rather than booking direct with the car/van
        dealerships.

        Why shouldn’t I book direct with the dealership myself?
        If we experience poor service or other delays, we can escalate the issue using our Arnold Clark account
        manager, who can chase the garage on our behalf. They can also manage the authorization and billing
        process which is crucial to the speedy turnaround of the vehicle.

        If the booking has been made directly by HSS, it is challenging for Arnold Clark to manage the booking and
        frequently results in HSS chasing the actual garage ourselves. It may be quicker in some instances to go
        direct but the frequency of delays/poor service is increasing.

        Tyres
        ATS and Kwik Fit can be used on a drop in/while-u-wait service and you should state it is an “Arnold Clark”
        vehicle. It is advisable to contact the location before attending to see how busy they are or check on their
        website to see if they have your tyre in stock.  If the tyre is your vehicle not drivable, please report it as a
        breakdown and mobile service is available.

        Our maintenance agreement with Arnold Clark includes the replacement of worn tyres at 2mm or less
        (legal minimum 1.6mm). Any punctures, side wall damage or excessive wear (less than 20k miles between
        changes) are fully rechargeable to HSS

        If your vehicle is showing a tyre pressure warning light, please check the pressure as soon as possible.
        Under inflated tyres cost more through burning more fuel and are a risk to safety as they affect braking

        If you are struggling to find a tyre, an alternative supplier is Quinton’s Tyres on 0800 169 5452.

        Windscreens
        Any requirements for chip repair or replacement should be done by contacting Nationwide Windscreens
        (0800 8778682) or Autoglass (0800 363636) quoting “Arnold Clark Vehicle Management”. All chips in the
        windscreen must be reported as soon as they happen. The cost of a new heated windscreen can be £999
        whilst a chip repair will cost £150. All windscreen repairs are fully rechargeable to HSS

        Breakdown
        If you require breakdown assistance or recovery, please contact:  Arnold Clark Breakdown – 0141
        332 2622. You should contact this number if your vehicle becomes not drivable for any reason
        (mechanical, electrical, major tyre punctures, windscreen damage or any similar issues)

        OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION

        Vehicle Checks
        If you are driving a commercial van or truck, you are required by law to conduct a daily vehicle check
        before you use the vehicle. You should also be able to provide electronic or written proof that this check
        has been completed on a specific day.

        Car drivers are advised to do a regular safety check of their car, checking tyre tread, oil and screenwash
        levels, windscreen condition and all headlight, indicator and brake light bulbs. This is especially advised
