Senior Parent Luncheon

Senior Parent Luncheon took place on June 3,
2002, in the P.A.C. This event is a special moment
in which parents and teachers come together to
celebrate the many accomplishments of the
seniors. The morning began with a prayer read by
Lourdes Rodriguez and then a reading by Vanessa
Rodriguez from Shel Silverstein’s The Giving Tree.
[The seniors sat at a table with their parents as well
I as their teachers who have taught them through­
p u t their many school years. Wonderful food was
[served by juniors as the seniors and their parents
I spent time with each other at their last lunch at
I Carrollton. The afternoon ended with a touching
I presentation that the parents had organized to
honor their daughters. There were beautiful
I pictures of seniors and their parents as well as
I words of thanks and love. After the slide show
each senior presented her parents with a
sunflower.
