of licence insurance of f250k. I've put that money straight into the mortgage, so our
monthly payments have gone down. That's why I keep saying I need the interim
payments. The money is not holiday or party money. Ifs in our Barclays mortgage
account. He actually paid £500,000 into the mortgage account, but could not admit
this without revealing the full extent of the compensation he had received. He did not
need the interim payments because he was awash with cash in October 2016.

revealing the AIG compensation and that he was awash with cash.
February 2017: Witness Statement

insurance l would be in severe financial difficulty and it is not an exaggeration to say
that we would have ended up homeless. For the first time in my life I understand
how people can go from having successful careers to having nothing

This is demonstrably untrue. In February 2017, Mr Solheim had already received /I

benefits in excess of £900,000 and was awash with cash.

RF What we're going to talk about today is the loss of earnings claim and moving the
case forwards. This is an unusual case - relatively speaking you had a pretty minor
accident. A Judge dealing with these sorts of claims will be used to awarding hundreds
of thousands pounds for things like lost limbs. I know you've lost your career----
RF The first thing to check is whether you have to pay your sick pay back to easyJet. l
can't find anything that says that you do.
SS No, I'm sure I don't. l don't think that was part of my contract. I don't think they'll
claim it back
RF Ifs not uncommon for companies to have that in your contract. We need to check
that out. Amongst the documents from easyJet we don't have a booklet which would
be their full terms and conditions, and we need to get that------- We just need the
one that was in force when Sigve was being paid sick pay ..... You are going to have to
pay back Cirencester. They are saying that it falls under general condition 2.8, they've
said it several times and it's on their standard form----
SS ! understand, it would be unreasonable to have doubled up.
RF Your prudence in taking out loss of licence insurance is going to pay off. I'll preface
this by saying still waiting disclosure from both insurers, but first thing is, the insurance
you had that was totally private -
SS That was paid as full and final when my contract ceased to operate with easyJet. It m
