I chose abaked potato to accompanythe dish - for some inexplicable reason, it seemesPlymouthSteak Publess wickedly caloric thanspaghetti! My partner inthis Bacchanale selectedshrimp scampi, several goodsize shrimps swimming inbutter and garlic. A dousingwith lemon accentuated thepalate pleasing taste thatcompeted handily with aside dish of spaghetti in atangy marinara sauce.Tossed salads for each of usrounded out our meal.Satiated by such indulgence, we skippeddessert this time, but fromprevious visits, I can vouchfor the fruit pies, puddingsand cakes offered. Governor of New York State. Janice Peterson will chair the meeting.The speakers will discuss issues that are of major concern to women. Among these are: universal day care, available and affordable for all who wish to use it; an end to discriminatory laws in banking, finance and credit; and recognition of working women, including %u2018housewives%u2019 as productive m em bers of the economy entitled to all the benefits other workers gain through their labor. Strong emhasis will be placed on the tools and techniques available to women to bring about needed changes in the political structure.%u201c Many Brooklyn women distinguish themselves as memLifesaving CourseOffered at YWBoth Junior and Senior Lifesaving Courses will be offered starting April 5 at the Brooklyn Y.W.C.A., 30 Third Avenue (corner of Atlantic). The course will be given Fridays from 5 to 6:30 p.m. for twelve weeks. Both classes lead to Red Cross Certification.The Junior Lifesaving Course is open to eleven to fifteen year olds who are qualified swimmers. Senior Lifesaving emphasizes selfrescue skills and extension rescues and is open to proficient swimmers 15 years and older. The fees for either course is $22.50 for twelve 1- M> hour lessons.
