What is your typical day as a CEO? How do you optimize your time?I wake up at 6 am and I start with my daily routine: I do my breathing exercise, I pray, drink a glass of water, work out for 30minutes, I take a cold/hot/cold shower to keep my energy high and to stay focused during the day. I speed-read books aboutbusiness and the news. Then I would call the lawyer, the fiduciary firm or the accountant to deal with the financial and legalsituations of the companies. After that, I would have a call with the chairman of the Board to make a report, talk about the visionand discuss the results of the company, implement new ideas and strategies with the team. I deal with important issues, makingsure problems are solved, and I delegate to the team what can be solved without me. I then deal with our clients%u2019 needs (hiring, coaching, etc.).What is the best way to keep a team motivated?I will share with you four secrets to answer your question:Create Momentum: Once or twice a year, I would advise creating an event that gathers each employee, where you can share thevision and the results of the company. Make everyone participate in an activity or game that will challenge them and also reinforcethe cohesion and teamwork. If none of this idea is possible, you could also invite them once a month to a nice restaurant for acompany gathering. If you have a small team, you could perhaps rent a villa or a house for a company retreat. The goal is to createstrong connections between each member. It is important for them to know that you care about them and they are contributing tosomething GREAT that will impact and change many lives. They will feel included and understand that they are an important pieceof the puzzle. For example, to create momentum at each birthday I make sure that every member of the company receives a presentwith a personalized message.Challenge them: Teach them the importance to always act out of their comfort zone and to embrace change. From my experience, Iobserve that incorporate organizations when there is a department restructuring, people often start to panic because their habitsare shaken, and they begin to feel like they will lose their security. Teach your team that change is inevitable if they want to grow. Infact, the market is moving fast so they constantly have to adapt themselves. For example, although we are a French company, weask every member to communicate in English. In the beginning, no one liked it because it was really challenging them, buteventually, they became used to it. The goal is to show them that they are resourceful and extremely capable.Build a strong mindset: Your company will go through ups and downs. Your team has to be strong mentally to face adversity whenit comes. The more your company grows, the more you will be attacked from the outside. When these trials approach, remind themof the mission and vision of the company and encourage them to keep moving. If you get knocked down, the most important thingis to rebound together.Acknowledgment: When one of your staff members performs well, congratulate them both in private and in public. It will makethem happier, give them a sense of accomplishment, and they will feel honored. It will boost their commitment to the company andits competitiveness. These 4 points are extremely crucial in building a strong and lasting culture in your company.\ is important for them to know that you careabout them and they are contributing to somethingGREAT that will impact and change many lives.\I AM.
