MAGAZINEThe world of business has been cut-throat for years. You need to be on your(A-game) if you want to get ahead. In a sense that is true. But over the pastfew years, small business has always found it hard to get known and seen. Ihave found myself as a small business owner in Australia, find your targetmarket and work towards being that product and service to these peopleI am positioning myself as a Technology Coach, Trainer, and Entrepreneur.A lot of my work is towards helping and teaching people towards theirtechnology needs, whatever that may be. If you%u2019re not innovating andchanging you are only going to be left behind. The key message behind mythoughts is to keep on evolving and change to what the needs of the clientare. One of my lessons learned through my journey as an entrepreneur is%u201cdon%u2019t see competition, see collaboration%u201d. This was the backbone of howmy business has grown over the past 12 %u2013 18 months. I will tell you the storyof the start of this idea %u2026My business was in a slag heap, and I didn%u2019t know what to do. There weretimes that I felt like throwing in the towel. I was down the bottom of a barrel, but we were about to turn into a New Year, it was about to become 2019. Themoment of the epiphany hit me; you can say it was it the straw that brokethe camel%u2019s back. I no longer wanted to feel sorry for myself. In my mind, Isaid, %u201cSay yes to opportunities and figure out the rest later.%u201d That was mynew motto, for myself and my business.Soon enough I was talking to every single person on Facebook messenger, well not literally everyone, only other business owners and entrepreneurs. Iwas literally asking them, %u201cWould you like to collaborate with me andwrite a book?%u201d A lot of people on Facebook thought I was a weirdo, but itwasn%u2019t until the true entrepreneurs that came out to play and said %u201cYes,David %u2018%u2019 let%u2019s do it! This was the beginning of my collaboration journey. Iknew it felt right. My business really started to take off, with all theseopportunities coming. As I said, say yes to opportunities and amazing thingswill happen.I have met a lot of amazing people on the way, some of these opportunitiesincluding Anthology submissions, guest speaking gigs, Guest presenter overLive-stream through to America, etc. The world is your oyster if you let ithappen!Collaboration is Powerful if you open to the opportunities that come with it.Take a risk, and shine!I AM MAGAZINE - COLLABORATION IS POWERI AM.
