             Visiting the Camp Humphreys US Military Base is an opportunity to witness the strength of
                 the US-Korea alliance and their shared commitment to anti-communism. This visit
             underscores the cooperation between the two nations for global peace and highlights the
            crucial role of the Indo-Pacific Command in Hawaii, deepening their understanding of global
                                                        security.

              Camp Humphreys-  평택 미군기지

           l  Overview: Visit Camp
              Humphreys, also known as
              “America in Korea,” a U.S.
              military base in Pyeongtaek,
              South Korea. It's the U.S.
              military's largest overseas base
              in the world, covering an area of
              14.677 square kilometers, more
              than three times the size of
              Yeouido. It can accommodate
              43,000 U.S. troops, military
              personnel, and their families in
              peacetime and up to 85,000 in
              the summer.
           l  History: It was originally an
              Imperial Japanese Army airfield. After the Korean War, the US military started using it and
              gradually expanded it to reach its current size.
           l  Location: It's in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, about 65 kilometers south of Seoul. It's
              easy to get to the metropolitan area. It's home to U.S. military personnel and their families,
              and has a variety of military and support facilities.
           l  Facilities: The base is home to a variety of living amenities, including housing, schools,
              hospitals, shopping centers, and recreational facilities. These facilities provide everything
              U.S. military personnel and their families need to live in South Korea. Camp Humphreys
              has seen a lot of growth over the past few years, which happened to line up with the U.S.
              Forces Korea relocation plans. It's now a major hub for U.S. Forces Korea.
           l  It's connected to USINDOPACOM, which is the operational command of the United States
              Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM), which is headquartered in Hawaii.
              USINDOPACOM is the top command for U.S. military activities in the Indo-Pacific region.
              Camp Humphreys is a key strategic base in the region and works closely with
              USINDOPACOM in a range of areas, including military training, operational planning, and
              information sharing to enhance regional security.

           l  The relationship between Camp Humphreys and USSOCOM is one of the most important
              symbols of the U.S.-South Korea alliance, and it has a significant impact on regional
