She next helped deliver a baby to a woman named
Kim, who also gave birth to a healthy full-term boy. As
Former Detainee #24 caressed the baby, it tried to suckle
her finger. The guard again came over and yelled at her to
put the baby in the box. As she stood up, the guard slapped
her, chipping her tooth. The third baby she delivered was
premature—the size of an ear of corn—and the fourth baby
was even smaller. She gently laid those babies in the box.
The next day she delivered three more very premature babies
and also put them in the box. The babies in the box gave her
nightmares.”

On the positive side, an underground railroad of sorts
has helped North Koreans to escape this totalitarian
dictatorship. Also, when international attention spotlights
the plight of those in flight, China has responded to such
pressure by sending the refugees most commonly to South
Korea. Nevertheless, refugees have often become the most
impassioned and steadfast advocates for the people of North
Korea against the gross injustices that they suffer.

Dealing With the Problems: A Military Standoff

During the Trump administration, the most successful one in
handling North Korea since the Korean War, the following
achievements occurred:

1) some of the remains of our soldiers from the Korean War
were returned;
