            ❖  NMR Multiplicity (Splitting): It is the number of lines forming a single NMR peak.

            ❖  Each type of  H senses the number of  H on the neighboring carbon(s).

            ❖  The signal of one  H splits into n + 1 peaks, where n = number of  H on neighboring
               carbons(s).
            ❖  Equivalent protons act as a group; they will give one NMR peak with splitting related

               to No. of  H on neighboring carbons(s).
            ❖  Splitting  patterns  are  singlet  (s),  doublet  (d),  triplet  (t),  quartet  (q),  pentet  (p),

               sextet,……..

            ❖  Splitting could be called multiplet (m) in case of splitting higher that quartet (q).
