The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) recently wrapped up the
12th edition of its ‘Bil Arabi’ initiative. This annual campaign, marking World Arabic Language Day
on 18th December, aims to promote the use of Arabic in daily life and digital spaces, particularly
among youth. The initiative saw significant public participation through interactive events across
UAE shopping centres like City Centre Mirdif and Etihad Mall in Dubai.
The campaign extended beyond the UAE, reaching Bahrain, Egypt, the United Kingdom,
Kazakhstan, and Pakistan. It gained traction on social media with the hashtag (#يبرعلاب). Jamal bin
Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, praised the initiative's success in promoting Arab knowledge identity. He
noted its creative impact in integrating Arabic into everyday life and digital platforms.
"We are deeply honoured by the success of the ‘Bil Arabi’ initiative in inspiring younger generations
to use the Arabic language for creative expression and effective communication across social
media platforms and in their day-to-day lives," said Jamal bin Huwaireb. The initiative showcases
Arabic's authenticity and adaptability to modern demands.
