Last June, the Sports Coordinating Council announced the priority sports of shooting, judo,
fencing, archery, and athletics, after a comprehensive study that dealt with the reality of sports
and talents in the UAE and opportunities to achieve Olympic achievements in it.

The first meeting in a series of meetings that brings together the authority with priority
sports federations to develop federation strategies with the aim of creating sports
champions capable of achieving continental and international achievements.

The federations are the authority's partner in achieving the goals of the sports sector
strategy 2032, which aims to expand participation in the Olympics.

A series of workshops will be held between the Authority and the Federation to develop
future strategic items and adopt a roadmap to achieve Olympic achievements.
