Emirates News Agency – “Sports Authority” and the Volleyball Federation adopt plans to strengthen governance to develop the game

DUBAI, 3rd July / WAM / His Excellency Sheikh Suhail bin Butti Al Maktoum, Executive Director of the
Sports Development Sector at the General Sports Authority, reviewed with Abdullah Al Darmaki, Chairman
of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Volleyball Association, the Federation’s strategy and discussed its
future plans with the aim of expanding the base of playing the game and developing performance National
teams in pursuit of more continental and international achievements.

This came during a meeting of Sheikh Suhail bin Butti Al Maktoum with the President of the Volleyball
Federation and his accompanying delegation, which includes Osama Gargash, Vice President of the
Federation, Jamal Al Matrooshi, Vice President of the Federation for Internal Representation, and Abdulaziz
Al Salman, Secretary General of the Federation, in the presence of Abdulaziz Al-Hussan Al Shamsi. Director
of the Competitive Sports Department in the Authority.
