In addition to expanding the bridge, the project involves road pavement improvements, infrastructure service upgrades,

and landscaping works. These enhancements aim to integrate seamlessly with the surrounding infrastructure. New street

lighting will also be installed to boost safety and visibility for drivers.

The total length of the bridge, including its ramps, is 171 metres, with the main span extending nearly 70 metres. This

expansion is part of RTA's ongoing efforts to improve connectivity between major corridors and vital facilities like Dubai
International Airport.

Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of RTA's Board of Executive Directors, emphasised RTA’s dedication to
enhancing Dubai’s road infrastructure. He stated: "The bridge expansion is part of RTA’s continuous efforts to improve

traffic flow and strengthen connectivity between major corridors and vital facilities."
