In case you haven't heard, Dubai has announced a four-day working week and reduced
hours for government employees. It is set to begin on July 1 and run until September
12, 2025. It will allow workers to have a greater work-life balance.
Dubai summer working hours explained: The temporary change in work
schedule will align with the official five-day working hours. Government employees
across twenty-one entities will be divided into two groups.

The first group will work for eight hours from Monday until Thursday and get Friday
off. The second group will work for seven hours from Monday until Thursday, and
work for four-and-a-half hours on Friday.
Last year, too, Dubai tested a four-day working week with shorter daily hours for
government employees, and it turned out to be successful. The trial period ran from
