Why It's Okay to Make Mistakes?

“Anyone who has never made a mistake has

never tried anything new.” – Albert Ein–

         stein.

Have you ever made a mistake and felt em-

         barrassed or disappointed? You’re not

alone. Every single person – students,

teachers, even world leaders – makes mis–

takes. Mistakes help us to learn and grow.

         Without mistakes, we wouldn’t know

what needs improvement – unless one day we look in the mirror and ask

ourselves, what did I do wrong? But if we let that fear stop us, we’ll miss

out on a lot of great things that we could have been a part of.

For example, joining a competition may be scary, but it can help you dis–

cover your talents and what you can do. If you don’t come out of that

shadow, you will never be seen, and no one will know what you can do.

From famous scientists to athletes and artists, they have all failed many

times before achieving success. For example, Thomas Edison failed over

1,000 times before inventing the light bulb. Instead of giving up, he kept

trying. That’s the kind of attitude we all should have. And always remem–

ber- mistakes don’t define us, our effort does.

So remember, mistakes are proof that you are trying. Don’t be afraid of

them. Keep trying, keep learning, and most important:

“Don't fear mistakes— they are just signs that you’re navi-

gating a life without a map.”
