Crazy with Luck Symbols Victorian era. Purchased at the Tacoma Dome spring antique sale in 1990. 69"x74"
Fabric: Mostly silk with velvet, felt. Batting: Cotton flannel sheet blanket used as foundation. Backing: Ecru-
colored light-weight cotton. Edge: Edges are stitched together. Piecing: Hand stitched to the foundation.
Quilting: Tied with wool yarn. Condition: Very good; minimal shattering of silks (four patches). Said to
have come from San Francisco. Elements include use of 20 different embroidery stitches, initials "M.L."
daisies, forget-me-nots, plush, a daintily painted patch, and folded, 3-dimensional rosettes.
