Spider Web No later than 1930s. eBay purchase from vendor GB-Best (Donna Vitale), Pensylvania in 2013.
75"x80" Fabric: Wool. Batting: Thick wool. Backing: Cotton, foggy dark blue blanket type material extended
with gray wool. Edge: The back is turned to the front for a 1" border and stitched by hand. Piecing: By
machine. Quilting: Tied with green string. Condition: Good. There are small moth holes, not noticeable.
A few patches are restorations covering moth damage that showed. Restorations were done with woolen
material that a tailor cut from the pantlegs of men’s suits. The work is done well enough that I can’t find
the restorations.
