ting: Medium weight. Backing: Pink muslin. Edge: Black tape applied 3 /8" to both sides by hand. Piecing:
By machine. Quilting: By hand, 5 stitches to the inch, around the seams of the pink stars and in concentric
octagons within the octagonal motifs. Condition: Very good. There is a light brown stain on one outer star.
From the back, it looks like a spill on the quilt which I have not tried to launder out. Comment: The pattern
is the same as "Hummingbird" or "String Quilt," with sashes beteen the blocks.
