Amish Barn Raising As old as 1900; no later than 1940s. eBay purchase 2014. 74"x74" Fabric: Wool, cotton,
glazed cotton. Batting: Foundation. There may be more batting than that; it’s heavy. Backing: Cotton rose
chintz. Edge: The back is brought to the front ¾" and caught by hand. Piecing: By machine. Quilting: There
is a nearly invisible black stitch in the corner of each yellow block. It has pulled out of the backing in some
instances. Condition: Excellent. Comment: Surprisingly free of moth holes, given its age and wool content.
