my mom had a
quilt like that
Cactus Baskets Pattern from 1930’s. eBay purchase in 2013. 79½"x78" Fabric: Cotton. Batting: Thin if any.
Backing: Cotton muslin. Edge: ½" red tape is applied by machine to the front and by hand on the back.
Piecing: By machine. Quilting: By hand, in a 1" grid in white fields, a two inch grid over the baskets, in
concentric triangles just inside the toothed border and in the outermost white border, 6 stitches to the inch.
Condition: Very good. The fabric feels crisp and unwashed, but the back has many rust-colored speckles.
There are 2 light age freckles at the tip of one basket and three at the tip of another in the lower right
corner.
