Lady Karen Dilligard Receives
2017 Women of Excellence Honors

Lady Karen Dilligard, President and
Chapter Organizer of the Will County
Black Diamond Chapter received
recognition as one of the Chicago
Defender’s 2017 Women of Excellence.
Lady Karen was one of 50 world-class
women from the Chicago area who’ve
displayed the highest level of leadership,
whose commitment to excellence is
empowering, and whose achievements are
unparalleled. Karen lives her life on three
P’s: passion, purpose and perseverance.
God has given her a heart to serve. She is
deliberate in her actions and leaves no
stone unturned. She works hard and leads by example, always pushing her chapter to higher
heights. She is proud to share the spotlight with three other Top Ladies that are also being
honored: Lady Shanita Akintonde, Lady Kimberley Darey and Lady Lisa Rollins.

West Suburban Chicago Chapter

Teen Kiayla Brackenridge of Wheaton, IL was elected TTA
Area III Committee Member to the National Nominating
Committee at Syn-Lod 2017 in St. Louis MO.

Teen Brackenridge, a sophomore at Wheaton-Warrenville
South High School; a member of DuPage African Methodist
Episcopal Church, Lisle, IL and Girl Scouts of USA.

Kiayla is a three year member of Top Teens of America West
Suburban Chicago Chapter.

Teen Kiayla is the daughter of Lady Tazama Brackenridge.
Lady Osie B. Davenport is Chapter President and Teen Evan
Francis is TTA President.
