Association to host screenings to detect the trait or plan events that will support youth in your
communities and maybe even put smiles on their faces.

While most teens were having their typical ‘sweet sixteen’ birthday celebration, Evan dedicated

her sixteenth birthday to raising funds for three of her favorite charitable organizations with
“PUTT for a Purpose” on August 4, 2017 at the Glenwoodie Golf Course. The funds raised were

disbursed equally between Different Shades of Pink Charity, the Joseph Assignment, and the
Sickle Cell Disease Association of Illinois.

Evan’s excitement and involvement doesn’t stop
here. She was selected to participate in the 2016
ComEd Icebox Derby Stem cup challenge. Its
purpose is to encourage young girls’ involvement
in the role that innovations such as solar and
technology can play throughout the derby events
in order to further enhance STEM learning
opportunities. They actually build icebox cars that
run on solar power from old refrigerators.

Fast forward to 2017 and Evan was a model for
this same initiative. As you walked or drove in
downtown Chicago or surfed the web and landed
at http://iceboxderby.com, Teen Evan was visible
as a model for this same project.

All the Ladies, Lords and Teens of the South
Suburban Chicago Chapter are beyond proud of
Teen Evan N. Abraham. Her parents, Yvette and
Rahsaan Abraham, and her younger sister are the
proudest of all.
