VIVIEN COE RICHARD TTA LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
Thirty outstanding Top Teens from all over the USA joined 25 youth from all over
the world to participate in a leadership training program focusing on STEM
careers at the Space Center Houston (NASA) in Houston, Texas. Space Center U
TM is a challenging five-day program that promotes teamwork, problem solving,
communication, and engineering solutions to space related situations. The
program is designed to develop and improve critical thinking skills, fiscal
responsibility, creativity and the drive to be successful. Combining classroom
theory with cognitive and tackle tasks, astronaut training and real-world NASA
experiences such as robotics, cryogenics, rocketry, scuba diving, and Mars
Habitat design are simulated. The program culminated with a graduation
ceremony celebrating the student's accomplishments and an exclusive Brunch
with astronauts. A second part of the Academy was the Arts portion (STEAM)
where the Teens took part in training/classes at the Ensemble Theater. Classes
included Lighting and set design and dance.
