EUNICE KENNEDY SHRIVER NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF CHILD HEALTH AND
HUMAN DEVELOPMENT – All Top Teens chapters were required to participate
in the Bullying Curriculum - “Be More Than A Bystander” from February through
May. In 2016, 459 chapters participated by submitting a pre (due in Feb) and post
(due in May) evaluation form. Totals by chapters: Area One-169, Area Two-73,
Area Three-63, Area Four-46, Area Five-22 and Area Six-86. Triesta Fowler,
Coordinator NICHD, reported on the results of the evaluations at Syn-Lod 2017.

COMMUNITY BEAUTIFICATION/KEEP AMERICA BEAUTIFUL-Teen Cyan
Simmons of the Will County Black Diamond Chapter competed in the National
Keep America Beautiful (KAB) Youth Advisory Council (YAC) competition. She
was selected as one of 10 high school students across the country to serve on the
council which will increase awareness and promote initiatives to end littering.
