Teens of America attended the 2017 March
for Babies Kick Off Celebration, February
8, 2017 in Houston, Texas. National Top
Teens Director Lady Janice Scimmons and
National MOD/Healthy Choices
Coordinator Jacqueline Carter, Lady
Thelma Johnson and Lady Barbara Smith
were in attendance. Houston Area
Chapters ranked #45 in the Corporate
Teams Top 50 Category. The chapters
raised a combined total of $4, 271.00.

Jail -n- Bail Fundraiser

Warrants were issued for Ladies and Teens during Syn-Lod 2017. Participants had 48 hours to post a
$25.00 bail or face Judge Teen Alexandria Rasmus. Sheriff Teen Austin Hale, National MOD Chair
and his deputies placed numerous Ladies and Teens in jail. Court Clerk Teen Jayda Crawford made
sure the fines were collected. The Teens raised $1, 259.00. Participants were able to visit the MOD
booth during the Health Fair and gather valuable information to share with their chapters and
community.

2015-2017 Fundraising Campaign

Top Teen Chapters created online fundraising pages to raise funds for March for Babies. The
chapters were commended for raising the following: 2015-2016 Total: $33, 967.00 and 2016-
2017 Total: $27,551.00. Chapters were recognized for their achievements during the National Top
Teens Awards Breakfast that was held during Syn-Lod in St. Louis, MO.
