Changing A Generation FGBC; Elder Gale M. Preston, bible teacher, counselor and psalmist, wife of Rev. Alton R.
Preston, Pastor of Lutcher Chapel and St. James United Methodist Churches; Mrs. Sylvia Scineaux-Richard,
community activist and President of the New Orleans East Neighborhood Advisory Commission , wife of Mr. Alvin
Richard, Jr. President and CEO of Richards Disposal, Inc.; Mrs. Linda P. Teamer, Delta Airlines retiree, volunteer
and real estate broker, married to Dr. Charles C. Teamer, leader in business, civic and community organizations.

In recognition of their service, the honorees were
awarded a Proclamation from the City of New Orleans
and beautiful acrylic plaques. Following the
presentation an emotional challenge was delivered by
Lady Trina E. Williams, D. Sc., and an eloquent
response from Elder CC Harrison, representing the
honorees.

Another highlight was the presentation of a $1,000.00

scholarship to graduating Teen Mya Bolds,

Salutatorian, who will be attending Xavier University

in the fall and a check to Teen Andreas Palmer second

place winner of the Area One Spelling Bee.

Some 225 Ladies, Lords, Teens and guests dined on a Top Teens of America
delectable lunch featuring chef’s cut rib eye steak at
the elegant Royal Palm in Harvey, Louisiana. Lady
Brenda J. Williams, Chapter President also served as
Luncheon Chairperson. Ladies Barbara B. Brown and
Carrie K. Roy were Co-Chairpersons.
