2. HIGHLIGHTS (POWER)

2.1 22 National Awards for Excellence in Energy Management by CII:

  Secunderabad division has earned 2 prestigious National Awards for
Excellence in Energy Management conducted by Confederation of Indian
Industries (CII).
 Khammam & Ramagundm Railway stations awarded with Energy Efficient
Units during the competition.

2.2 Commissioning of Escalators
 2 No. of escalators have been commissioned by conducting all types of
prototype tests confirming to RDSO latest Spec RDSO/PE/SPEC/TL/0095(Rev.’2’)-
2017 at Circulating area towards Platform No.1 (New FOB) at LPI station and
Circulating area (DN) at HYB station.

2.3 Commissioning of 120 kVA UPS at PRS/SC:

 2 sets of 2x60 KVA overaged & obsolete UPS system was successfully replaced with
2 sets of 120 kVA Modular UPS at PRS/SC which are feeding the vital disaster
recovery servers of Indian Railways. This was possible because of meticulous
planning, coordination with CRIS team & execution by SSE/E/M/PRS’s Team under
the guidelines of PCEE/SCR. This 2 x120 kVA UPS has better redundancy due to
virtue of 18 Modules of 6.6 kVA each backed up by 2 exclusive battery banks
(either of them on standby). Each 120 kVA UPS can take full load of data center in
case of failure of any one of the UPS which was not possible in the earlier 2x60 kVA
single UPS unit.
